I forgot my password!

  1. Head to http://hatchery.co/my-account/lost-password/
  2. Enter the email address associated with your Hatchery account.
  3. We’ll send you an email including instructions to help you reset your password. It may take a few minutes (and could take up to 12 hours), so hang tight!
  4. Click on the “Change That Password!” link in your email.
  5. Enter your new password.
  6. You’re all set to log in!

Where is my Tasting Box?

Our Tasting Boxes ship around the 15th of every month. After shipment, you can expect to receive a confirmation email with tracking. Didn’t get the email? Give us a shout at hello@hatchery.co and we’ll locate your box for ya!

I’m not a "sriracha" fan - can I opt out of receiving items including that?

Tasting Boxes are curated with an adventurous cook in mind. We aim to expand your pantry and flavor preferences through unique flavor applications in all our ingredients. That being said, we currently do not offer customization, but it’s something we’re working on for the future!

How can I cancel my subscription?

Simply head to hatchery.co/cancel and enter your information. We’ll take it from there.

My promo code isn’t going through.

Uh oh! Here are a few reasons why that could be happening:

  • Was there an expiration date for your code?
  • Is there a minimum spend amount required for your code?
  • Does the code activate a subscription? Is it possible you’ve already activated it?

My order isn’t going through!

Don’t give up! Be sure to check on a few things:

  • Is the billing address correct for the credit card you’re using?
  • Have you created a password for your account?
  • Are all the fields filled out?

How do gift subscriptions work?

Gift subscriptions work just like our regular monthly subscriptions—the only difference is that they have a 3-, 6-, or 12-month timeframe. Bonus: they don’t automatically renew, so you won’t have to worry about cancelling!
When you purchase a gift subscription, you can either have the gift emailed to the recipient, or you can print out a gift message to give directly to your recipient. Once they receive it, they’ll be able to head to hatchery.co/activate to enter their unique gift code and the appropriate shipping address.

MARKETPLACE

Do you offer exchanges on full-size products?

Unfortunately, we do not offer exchanges on full-size products that are purchased through our Marketplace. If your product was delivered damaged, please contact hello@hatchery.co and one of our team members will be glad to help you.

What is your return policy on full-size items?

If you are not 100% satisfied with your full-size product purchase, contact us at hello@hatchery.co. You can return it to Hatchery for a full refund within 30 days of the purchase date. Please allow 10 business days for the return to be processed once it is received at our warehouse. After your return is received and inspected, your refund will be processed and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Please note, the original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

Is there a sales tax charge on full-size orders?

Only purchases from the Marketplace that ship within Florida (FL) will be charged sales tax on their orders.

Where can I find a list of makers you work with?

A list of all our current makers can be found here. We’re grateful for the unique maker relationships that we have and are excited to share their incredible products with you. Our list of makers is growing quickly, but if there’s a product you’d like to see included in our Marketplace, please let us know! Send a note to hello@hatchery.co.

Can I use multiple coupon codes?

Only one coupon code can be used per transaction on our marketplace.

TASTING BOX

Is Hatchery an eco-friendly company? How do I request eco-friendly samples only?

We strive to be an environmentally responsible company on all levels. We offset the carbon emissions from our shipment, use biodegradable packaging and often sample organic and all-natural products in our Tasting Box. Unfortunately, we cannot promise to deliver exclusively eco-friendly samples at this time.

I have allergies to certain products and ingredients. What do I do?

Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee that your box won’t contain any specific products or ingredients. If you do have known allergies to certain products/ingredients, we highly suggest that you first check the product’s ingredients through our Marketplace before consuming any of your sample ingredients and/or condiments.

I love my sample ingredients! Where do I buy more?

You can buy full-size versions of your favorite samples in our Marketplace. Also, every month, the products sampled in that month’s box will ship for free. So you’ll have a full month to get free shipping on all full-size versions of the samples you love.

What if I don’t know what to do with my samples?

Our website and the Tasting Guide found within each box will show you just how to get the most out of your sample ingredients each month. In addition to the recipe recommendations in each Tasting Box, you can also visit The Guide for easy-to-master recipes, videos guides, kitchen tips, chef tutorials, tastemaker profiles, maker stories and more. Also, within our Marketplace, you’ll find links to relevant recipes, videos and more for each product.

Will you tell me what is coming in my box ahead of time? Can I choose?

The surprise is part of the fun! That’s why we keep the products a secret until you receive them. If you’re still curious, check out the makers and products we carry in our Marketplace to get a sense for the types of products we have sent in the past.

MEMBERSHIP

When will I be billed for my yearly recurring subscription?

All annual subscriptions automatically renew at the end of every 12-month billing cycle so that you’ll never miss a box (except gift subscriptions—see next question). If you would like to opt out at the end of your subscription to avoid an auto-renewal, please call us at 877-978-9333 and one of our team members will be glad to help you.

If I have a gift subscription, what happens when I reach my last month?

If you have a gift subscription, it will automatically be terminated after you receive your last box. If you want to continue your subscription, you can re-subscribe and become a regular recurring subscriber by logging into your account and selecting the “Subscribe” link. Don’t hesitate to call us at 877-978-9333 for assistance or to place your order over the phone.

How do I update my billing (or shipping) address?

Updating your address information is easy. Once logged into your account, you will see a link to “Manage Addresses,” click on this link, enter your new information, and hit save. For active subscriptions, make sure to make all address changes by the 10th of each month.

When will I be billed for the monthly recurring membership?

When you place your order for a monthly membership, you will be billed for your first Tasting Box immediately and again every 30 day cycle moving forward. For example, if you join on February 12th, your next payment will be charged on March 12th, and so on. If you you have any questions, please give us a call at 877-978-9333 (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST) or email hello@hatchery.co.

When can I expect my first shipment to arrive?

All Tasting Boxes ship out of our facility around the 19th of each month and should arrive to you an estimated 5-10 business days after leaving our warehouse. You will receive an email with a tracking number as soon as your box leaves our shipping facility.
Please Note: All first time orders placed on or by the 10th of each month will be shipped around the 19th of that same month. Orders placed after the 10th will ship around the 19th of the following month.

Are there any hidden fees?

Nope. All you pay is your monthly subscription fee. There are no shipping or handling fees for your monthly Tasting Box delivery.

Can I choose or opt out of certain samples each month?

Tasting Boxes always contain 5-6 samples from a variety of categories. There is no option to opt out of a given category. We’re a full on discovery service and flavor exploration is all part of the fun!

Is Hatchery available outside the US?

No. Currently we only deliver to addresses within the United States.

I just signed up for a Hatchery Tasting Box subscription! What will I receive?

Every month, you’ll receive a curated box of 5-6 artisan ingredients and speciality condiments from small-batch food makers across the country. Each delivery will include a hand selected assortment of sample-sized products, such as: spreads, cooking sauces, condiments, jams, honeys, syrups, oils, vinegars, salts, spices, seasonings, specialty baking ingredients and cocktail mixers. Samples are generously sized, with enough product to use in a recipe (or two). You’ll also want to explore our site for product information, maker stories, cooking tips, kitchen tricks and inspiring videos.

Can I apply more than one promotion code for a single order?

So sorry, unfortunately only one coupon code can be applied per order.

What if my promo code doesn’t work?

Give us a call right away at 877-978-9333 and we’ll help you with your order over the phone. You can also reach us via email at hello@hatchery.co.

What is your promotion code policy?

We will honor any orders placed 3 days prior to the promotion release date. If you forgot to use your promo code, contact us as soon as possible by emailing us at hello@hatchery.co. We will try our best to fulfill it!

SHIPPING, RETURNS & EXCHANGES

How quickly do marketplace orders ship?

If the product is stock, we will box and ship your item the same day your order is placed. In order to qualify for this free service, we just require that your order come in by 3:00 PM EST (Monday – Friday). If you order is placed after 3:00 PM EST, your order will be boxed and shipped out the next day. All orders placed Saturday or Sunday (or Friday after 3:00 PM EST) will ship out on Monday. Please note that our standard shipping method is FedEx Smart Post.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Unfortunately, we do not offer expedited shipping currently. This is something we’re exploring in the future.

What is your shipping policy? Do you offer free shipping?

We hope you love your samples, so we want to make it easy for you to order full-size versions of your newfound favorites in our Marketplace. Every month, the products sampled in that month’s box will ship for free. So you’ll have a full month to get free shipping on all full-size versions of the samples you love.

No. Hatchery currently only offers shipping within the United States.

What are the dimensions of Hatchery’s Tasting Box?

Our Tasting Box measures 9” x 6” x 3” and can fit in a standard mailbox. Full-size marketplace shipments will vary in size.

Where does Hatchery ship? And how?

Hatchery currently ships only to the United States, its territories, and APO Boxes. All monthly subscriptions are delivered via USPS (while some full-size marketplace product may arrive by way of FedEx). Every month, once your box leaves our facility, you’ll receive an email with your tracking number so you can follow your box’s progress to your door.
Please Note: Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, and APO Boxes may take an extra 4-5 weeks to be delivered.
