Harissa is just about as versatile as salsa—in fact, they're essentially the same food, prepared differently depending on region. This particular variation comes from Morocco, where founder Mina gained her knowledge and inspiration. Here, she takes her signature blend of bell peppers, garlic, olive oil, and vinegar, and ups the heat levels by adding even more hot chili peppers. If your taste buds can handle it, this makes a no-brainer addition to any twist on shakshuka, it adds incredible flavor to sweet potatoes, and it makes a killer base for seafood stew.

Mina grew up on the wave-crashing, picturesque shores of Casablanca, where at the age of 16, she tasted a neighbor’s homemade Harissa and came to face to face with her destiny. Soon thereafter, she began playing and experimenting with the recipe, tweaking it here and there until she came up with a perfect blend that was uniquely hers. Mina’s take on the traditional Moroccan condiment contains the red long finger chilies as a base, with extra-virgin olive oil, a touch of vinegar, and some garlic to bring the sauces tangy-hot flavor profile to life. All of her inspired creations taste supremely fresh, vibrant, and exotic—like a souvenir from a dream jaunt to Morocco.
